How a rule fires

WHEN a subject is on the order: a fabric code (5,882 · “0667-16 — Dark Navy”) or a material attribute (Sheer · Pattern)
SET a component slot = a component class (13 · e.g. Sleeve Lining)
TO a target: lining code · accessory code · design component (named pickers) · design / note (id)
Rules key on ids, so a rename never breaks a firing rule. Retire = soft delete; Restore brings it back. A same-slot contradiction asks to confirm first (L413 conflict guard).
